A little spot on Leonardo Da Vinci

Leonardo Da Vinci, creator of the Mona Lisa, user of the early telescope, and a scientific genius of his day.  What is it about him that intrigues writers, directors, artists, doctors, and common man alike?  Was it his skill with a brush, a scalpel, a pen?  Is it the works he left behind, or his pieces that have vanished mysteriously?  What ever it may be, Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most well known historical figures of our day.  Here are some things you may not have known about Da Vinci...

- Leonardo Da Vinci was Left-Handed, also he often wrote backwards so his writing could only be deciphered by looking at it through a mirror.  (Writing backwards is hard, I dare you to try it)
- Da Vinci wasn't very good at finishing projects he started.  He would hop from one subject to the next so quickly.  In 17 years he only completed 6 pieces of Art work (the lovely Mona Lisa being one of these.)
-  Da Vinci designed the first parachute. (And was working on a design for a workable airplane.)
-  Da Vinci worked for the Pope doing various projects. (The Pope banned him from using cadavers while working for him.  I bet that didn't make Da Vinci the infinity curious very happy.  Maybe that's why he only worked for the Pope for three years)
-  Da Vinci made such accurate illustrations of the human body and functions that he gave rise to a new way of study of the body.
